For the past five years, Scripture in Schools has been operating under the authority of the Cootamundra Ministers' Fellowship. Our volunteer team teaches in all classes at Cootamundra Public School and EA Southee Public School each Wednesday afternoon. Eight of the churches in Cootamundra are represented on our team working as either teachers or helpers. We also have people that we can call upon to fill in when members of the team are away. The curriculum we use is from the Connect series that is published by Christian Education Publications and is approved for use in schools by the Education Department. Each term we also organize a special assembly at each school. Sometimes we are able to invite visiting teams such as Quizworx to present these and on other occasions we push ourselves out of our comfort zones and present them ourselves. God is good and always helps us to do this well. We have good support from both schools and enjoy positive feedback from them. The team finds it a great privilege and joy to be a part of this ministry as it unites the Christians in our town and is a terrific opportunity to let hundreds of children know that they are loved by Jesus.
